CCB today announces two significant agreements with Equinor; The framework agreement for subsea services entered into in 2016 has now been extended by 3 years and an option for 2 x 3 years, and at the same time a contract has been awarded for the production of new Cap-X structures for exploration drilling in collaboration with the Kimek yard in Kirkenes.
The framework agreement with CCB is executed by CCB Subsea, a leading provider of subsea services. The extension of the framework agreement with Equinor means that its duration extends to the second quarter of 2027, with an option for further extension until 2033. The framework agreement covers maintenance services for subsea equipment, as well as repair, modification, and engineering. Additionally, the company provides services and products related to offshore operations and construction projects for drilling and wells.
‘We are very pleased with this extension and the recognition from Equinor. It is positive feedback that our contribution as a supplier in the subsea market adds value to our customers,’ says Jan-Dagfinn Lund, CEO of CCB, and Cecilie Sælen, Managing Director of CCB Subsea.
New Cap-X production
Under the framework agreement, CCB Subsea in collaboration with the Kimek shipyard in Kirkenes will also deliver on a newly awarded contract for the production of new CAP-X structures for drilling operations. This ensures the continuation of ongoing activity in Kirkenes, involving the modification of previously awarded Cap-X units in 2023. The award is based on many years of experience with Cap-X projects, dating back to the fall of 2017. The contract includes engineering services, procurement, and construction, and the project will extend into 2025.
‘We are pleased to continue this collaboration with both Equinor and Kimek, and proud to contribute to positive ripple effects for suppliers in Northern Norway and local value creation in Kirkenes,’ says Sælen. Greger Mannsverk, CEO of Kimek, adds: ‘We greatly appreciate the award and will continue to deliver quality, safety, and competitive prices. We are happy to maintain local activity and delivery capacity, which also facilitates additional offshore projects.’
Our business model is based on circular economy; from maintenance, repair, overhaul, recertification, modificaiton, re-engineering, and innovation for upcycling of subsea equipment, tools and systems.
