In 2016, CCB Subsea was awarded its first framework agreement with Equinor for third-party maintenance of non-critical subsea equipment. A small team. A clear mandate. A large field ahead.
Important milestone for innovation, competence, and collaboration within the subsea industry!
CCB Subsea AS was established in 2016 as an independent Subsea and Drilling service provider, as a result of Coast Center Base AS and Norsea Group Operations AS buying into Logiteam Subsea AS.
Over the past decade, we have grown from a three-person start-up focused on subsea maintenance into an established company of 90 people also delivering modification, offshore operational support, Cap-X/Keeper construction, design & engineering, technology development, and products to a global market.
Our first achievement was being awarded a framework agreement with Equinor in 2016 for 3rd party maintenance services. Since then we have functioned as a cross-vendor supplier of subsea maintenance and well control services. We have been working across the full lifecycle of subsea equipment. From storage maintenance and re-certification of well control and subsea production equipment, to engineering studies, offshore operations and innovative tooling solutions that reduce rig time, cost and emissions.
The company has developed new concepts and tools for safer and more efficient completion of new subsea wells and P&A of old subsea wells. First tool being THRUT for umbilical-less installation of Tubing Hangers field-proven in 2022 – now the new standard on the NCS run on more than 40 completions. Since then, we have developed more tools like the THRET, PITCH, THOR and CBP for in-riser and open-water operations. These tools have been run on more than 30 wells.
CCB Subsea is still looking to innovate and explore new possibilities within the ever-evolving world of subsea and drilling equipment, and maintenance and recertification. Our newest milestone being new opportunities emerging beyond the NCS in close cooperation with global subsea contractors.
