Summer job Subsea engineer

About the position:

We are looking for committed students for our Engineering department. Typical tasks include:

  • Product development: Design and engineering of new products, including 3D construction in our design software Inventor, as well as calculation and specification work.
  • Product manufacturing: Production and delivery of our subsea products, including testing, maintenance, mobilization and demobilization. Follow-up work of ongoing production, participation in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), as well as work with specifications, procedures and calculations.

With a summer job in Engineering, you will get a combination of work in the office and practical work in the workshop, which provides broad experience from projects within our industry. Relevant fields of expertise for the positions may be marine, mechanical and petroleum.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of Master within relevant subjects
  • Interest for good HSE and risk understanding
  • Fluent Norwegian and English

Subsea engineers and designers

We offer our engineers to gain experience through a variety of roles and activities, such as:

  • Planning engineers that also support the mechanics through technical execution in the workshop
  • Project engineers working with a team for planning offshore mobilisation and operations
  • Project managers on engineering projects acting as ‘single point of contact’ with the clients
  • Designers that also follow the projects through assembly, test and offshore operations

Typical scope of work:

  • Planning and execution of projects
  • Preparation and technical support to  maintenance in the workshop
  • Fault finding
  • Establish maintenance and test procedures
  • Minor design design tasks and follow up of fabrication
  • Establish specification for purchasing and perform purchase
  • Technical support to operators, service companies and drilling contractors on subsea equipment
  • Experienced candidates act as Team Leads

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master within relevant subjects
  • Good HSE and risk understanding
  • Fluent Norwegian and English

Typical scope of work:

  • Perform service and repair of subsea and drilling equipment
  • Presssure testing
  • Assembly/disassembly of subsea and drilling equipment
  • Subsea and drilling maintenance

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of apprenticeship within relevant subject
  • Offshore certificate / Health certificate
  • Good HSE and risk understanding
  • Truck and overhead crane certificate
  • Fluent Norwegian and English
